Following the Prime Minister’s announcement on Monday 23rd March 2020, I’ve had to suspend all coaching activities until further notice.
I’m hopeful that courses in late April will go ahead but at the moment it’s just impossible to predict UPDATE: 14th April – Looks like April courses are definitely a no-go, fingers crossed for May.
Update Monday 18th May. It looks like sports coaches are now allowed to provide coaching on a 1-to-1 basis according to government guidelines. If you would like to take advantage of this, please get in touch. For courses or coaching for more than one person I’m afraid we’re still waiting for further loosening of restrictions.
Update Friday 19th June 2020. According to government guidelines, we can now meet up to 5 people at once to deliver coaching / guiding. Forestry England (Dalby and Hamsterley) are still playing on the side of caution and only allowing coaching on a one to one basis. Hopefully this will change very soon. Non essential retail is back in business, surely 6 people on bikes, maintaining social distancing, in the great outdoors is acceptable.
Update Monday 22nd June. Forestry England are now allowing coaches to meet up to 5 people inline with government guidelines. I’m delivering group courses again, with the ‘new normal’ precautions in place.
Update Saturday 7th November 2020. Well here we are again, lockdown 2.0. Thankfully things are not quite as restrictive as they were the first time. We are allowed to meet one person outside of our household/bubble for exercise, so we can coach on a one to one basis. All group courses are on hold until further notice. We’re hoping this lockdown will be lifted on 2nd December 2020.
Anyone booked on a group course that has to be postponed will get priority booking for the new group course date for whichever course you booked on.
A massive thanks to all my clients who have been so patient in waiting for new course dates.
Cheers, Gareth
